They're in damage control, they should be quiet on the announcements for now. They could announce an open beta starting tomorrow and the amount of players would be slashed due to a large portion of their target audience not wanting to support Blizzard at the moment. You can't market something when your audience is against the company that made it. When an announcement is upcoming don't get hyped over what they may show.Įspecially with the sexual misconduct things going on, now isn't even the right time to announce anything. Don't speculate over when news will come. News and status updates have been very few and far between, but it is coming. OW2 is coming and that is what people should be banking on. Long story short, it came out in November.Īt the very least, OW2 does not have an announced release date. Imagine announcing that you finished writing the script two months after the quest was supposed to come out. Then in September during a devstream they announced that the quest's SCRIPT WAS OFFICIALLY FINALIZED.
#REINHARDT ANTI GAY MEME UPDATE#
The first two parts of the update came out, but WW didn't come in July. The War Within quest was supposed to be the third and final part of the update, released in July during or around Tennocon.
#REINHARDT ANTI GAY MEME PATCH#
Remember the War Within update? There was a point in June 2016 when they said that the patch (Update 19) was gonna be split into three parts which were to be released over the summer. Trade servers act as in game hubs for all that.Īchievement servers provide tools (bot spawners, lockable rooms, etc.) that make getting achievements easier.īoth are frequented by idlers since TF2 drops random items at semi regular intervals based on how long you've been in game.ĭespite being similar games, such a content disparity makes it very difficult to compare the two. Not only can you trade with other players for TF2 items you can trade for virtually any items that use the Steam inventory system. Overwatch has skins, TF2 has a whole economy. I'm not even going compared TF2 and Overwatch's cosmetics because it feels entirely unfair.
And then there's the trade servers and achievement servers. You can also find 24/7 servers that run a single game mode or sometimes even single map at all times. There are many community servers that are virtually identical to the official servers except that you can play the seasonal maps there year round. Anyone with a half decent computer and internet can host their own TF2 server with any custom maps, game modes, or rules you desire. Overwatch has only their official servers. Or you can play any of the already existing game modes like Prophunt or Surfing on the community servers. If you can successfully climb the learning cliff that is Hammer you can make your own game modes and maps with significantly fewer limitations. You can make complex things, but you're still confined by the limitations the developers have intentionally set. That's just the official content though, Overwatch has built in tools for making your own game modes which trade off versatility for simplicity. And most slots are occupied by game modes that are other game modes with such minor rule variations I didn't even bother counting them as a different game mode.
#REINHARDT ANTI GAY MEME PLUS#
Overwatch has 30 maps spread out across 7 game modes, plus 11 seasonal maps for the regular modes, plus another 10 maps tied to 7 seasonal game modes.īut then you have to reduce Overwatch's numbers further to account for the fact that the arcade generally only supports 7 game modes, 5 of which change daily. TF2 has 97 official maps spread out across 18 official game modes plus another 25 seasonal maps.
